Sin duda el inmueble constituye, tanto por la concepción de las fachadas como por su configuración espacial, una expresión de la modernización social y arquitectónica de principios del siglo XX en Chile; y da cuenta de un debate entre la presencia de influencias foráneas y el desarrollo de un sentido nacionalista en las artes contribuyente a tal proceso. | |
